GERMAN FILM MUSIC AWARD

Appraisal of film composition

As part of the Film Music Days Saxony Anhalt, film composers have been awarded the GERMAN FILM MUSIC AWARD for their work since 2014.

The GERMAN FILM MUSIC AWARD has established itself as one of the most prestigious awards in the film music industry. Special achievements of German and international film music production are honored in various categories.

Artists such as Rachel Portmann, Jeff Beal, John Ottman, Hildur Guðnadóttir and Volker Bertelmann have already won this award.

DEFKOM (the German Film Composers Union) and the International Academy of Media and Arts e.V. (IAMA) organize the award ceremony each year, accompanied by a musical program. Further information on the invitation to tender and the program can be found on the pages of the GERMAN FILM MUSIC AWARD.
